TF strives to improve the standard of living for the surrounding communities. We raise awareness for the plight of the poor, sick and uneducated. We try to get underprivileged children into school and help local orphanages through volunteer work and donations. We also raise awareness for various causes.
Where do we work
TF is situated in an area called Kibaha (or Coastal Area) which is outside of Dar Es Salam in Tanzania. There are many villages which make up Kibaha. We work with local government, orphanages, various local communities and organisations that help to improve these villages.
Our goals
There are so many challenges that face the villages in Kibaha . In particular, HIV is a very serious problem. As a result, there are many child-headed households and elderly grandparents that are left behind to take care of the family with no means of financial support. Our TF goals are to improve the living conditions of the villages.
One of the ways we would like to do this is to build a small clinic and community centre with sports facilities and a place to do some basic farming.
Our aim is to have medical staff, councillors and teachers to assist with various programmes from kindergarten to adult education, gardeners and various others. A feeding scheme will be available. Volunteer and exchange programmes will run with the community centre. We would like to have a safe haven for the villagers, young and old.
How you can help
You can help or get involved with TF through our volunteer programmes in the community or alternatively at one of the orphanages we support. Financial support and donations of any kind are greatly appreciated. In the case of financial donations, we will provide you with the details of the places you can choose to support as all must be paid directly to them.
